This involves the process of converting paper documents or microfilm to a digital format keeping the reduction factor in mind in order to have the best possible resolution of the image. We scan the documents to PDF, JPG, TIFF, PNG and other formats as the case may be. Hard-copy documents could be of any size ranging from A1, A2 till A4. We have done scanning for various documents like newspaper archives, monographs, manuscripts, academic/ medical/ scientific/ technical books, Journals, periodicals, newsletters, magazines etc. |

The scanned images are stored in CD’s/ DVD’s, external hard disc, etc. The resolution of the scanned images defines the quality of the output document. Generally it ranges from “96 dpi to 600 dpi” depending upon the requirement. Scanning from “Microfilms” involves use of high level microfilm scanners.

Roll microfilms are in 16mm or 35 mm format containing multiple sequences of micro-images. These films contain impression and depiction of images for greatly reduced size and ease of storage.
